Clouds and moody skies have always been my favorite, particularly when shooting in black and white. When I awoke on this day in Patagonia’s Torres del Paine National Park, I noticed these beautiful, cumulus clouds forming overhead. So I grabbed my gear and headed out to find just the right composition. The water was nearly still on this calm, silent morning. I chose a long exposure technique in order to give the sweeping clouds some movement and character. As I depressed the camera’s shutter, I knew I had captured something beautiful and amazing. It was a completely serene moment in time, one that I will always remember.
