There's also something warm and cozy about them which makes them one of my most favorite subjects. On the morning this image was shot, I had headed out long before sunrise. I wanted to make sure I captured the beautiful glow emanating from the lighthouse and also wanted the softer early morning light to enhance the color of the wildflowers. There was a slight chill in the air and a gentle breeze was blowing from the north. It had been raining for days so I wasn't too hopeful, but the clouds began to clear and I was treated to one of the most majestic sunrises I'd seen in quite awhile.
