The sea stacks were lined up so close to the shore that during low tide you could actually walk right up to them. I was staying in the area for a few days and there was nothing but blue skies. As I’m often heard saying, blue skies make for great postcards, but are a landscape photographer’s nightmare. Finally, late one afternoon, the fog started rolling in heavy and thick. I patiently waited for the sun to begin to dip below one of the sea stacks and caught a beautiful starburst pattern. The tide was beginning to ebb, but there was still enough water covering the sand to create these beautiful reflections. The moment I depressed my camera’s shutter, I could sense I had captured something truly magical.
