Anticipating a full moon, I had been scouting locations for this Mt. Hood shoot for days. Although I’m usually not a fan of clear skies when it comes to my compositions, my vision for this particular photo made it an absolute requirement. Storms had been brewing in the area for days and I was beginning to grow concerned as to whether or not I’d get a window of opportunity. Fortunately, on my last day in the area, the skies cleared and winds disappeared. The stage was finally set and when the shutter clicked, I knew I had captured some real magic.
