BEHIND THE SCENE: Situated in the midst of a tropical mountain forest along the eastern slopes of the Andes, Machu Picchu is one of the 7 wonders of the world. On the 2nd day of my week-long visit, I awoke early and saw the mountains shrouded in fog. As the sun began to burn through the morning fog, the view was truly awe-inspiring. Little did I know at the time, the weather was going to get far more interesting. As evening approached, dark clouds rolled in quickly. Naturally I grabbed my gear and headed straight for Santuario Historico for the best views of Machu Picchu. I quickly setup my tripod and waited. After nearly an hour, a break in the dark clouds developed and this amazing light came streaming down onto the mountaintop. It was truly a breathtaking moment and I was beyond grateful to already be in position to capture it. In less than a minute, the clouds had shifted and the light was gone. It was one of those rare moments in time when the weather gods had conspired in my favor and made the trip to Peru that much more worthwhile.

PRINTING: Each print comes with a hand-signed and numbered certificate of authenticity. All prints are mounted on black 3/16" Gatorforam, a very rigid, durable and lightweight backing that will not warp. Photographs are printed on Fuji Crystal Archive Pearl. Fujicolor Crystal Archive Pearl Paper represents a real breakthrough in digital printing technology. The paper takes on, as its name claims, a "pearl-like" luster which comes from small pearl-like crystals in the paper. Pearl mica crystals are embedded into the paper and covered with metal oxides (i.e, titanium dioxide). The combination of these crystals along with special coatings yields a paper that generates a unique three-dimensional depth and a wide tonal range, producing prints with a rich textured quality. Have confidence in knowing the inks and papers used to create these works of fine art have been carefully selected to ensure your investment will be enjoyed for generations.
LIMITED EDITION PRINT SIZES: Print sizes (16”x24”, 20”x30”, 24”x36” and 30"x45") are in edition sizes of 25. As editions cross milestones, prices will increase. Once an edition closes, no further printing of that size will be made available nor will new sizes be introduced.
