BEHIND THE SCENE: Iceland has one of the most unique and dramatic landscapes on the planet with volcanoes, geysers, hot springs and lava fields. The weather is quite unpredictable so you never really know what to expect. On this particular morning, we were up long before dawn and made our way to the Fossa River in Haifoss. I had scouted the area earlier in the week and knew this would make a fabulous composition if the sun and clouds would only cooperate. So we waited in the freezing cold for the sun to rise. As it began to peak above the horizon, we were greeted by some of the most amazing light I’d ever seen. Truly a breathtaking moment in time.
