I spent several days in the area shooting the lighthouse during several different types of light and from a multitiude of angles. I’m always amazed at how any subject can change in an instant, depending on perspective, lighting, composition, etc. It rained during the evening before my last day in the area which changed everything. Pools of water collected around the lighthouse. As I moved my tripod from one spot to another to another, I eventually found this amazing reflection in a tidal pool in the foreground. To me, this completed the composition. The tonality, hues and textures of the various elements combined to create an image worthy of this charming lighthouse.
